Introduction dose: 1/4 scoop mixed with feed, slowly increase over the first five days.
Maintenance dose: 1/2 scoop (10.5g) per day.
For horses having undergone recent surgery or with poor joint function, it is recommended to feed one scoop (21g) per day for the first four weeks. Then reduce to the maintenance dose of 1/2 scoop daily.

Yes 4CYTE™ Equine is a Veterinary Only product. This product provides nutritional compounds and needs to be utilised in appropriate cases where genuine benefit can be achieved. We see it important that Veterinarians who understand the horse, its medical history and its symptoms make the correct diagnosis and treatment recommendation.
Can 4CYTE™ be used in pregnant Mares?
No specific studies have been conducted during pregnancy, therefore it is not recommended. Although your veterinarian can make a final decision in this regard.
How much Glucosamine & Chondroitin does 4CYTE™ Equine contain?
4CYTE™ Equine contains the full complement of the naturally forming glycosaminoglycan’s (including Glucosamine, Chondroitin, Keratin, Dermaten and Heparin) necessary for the health of the synovial fluid and cartilage matrix. Our in-vivo and in-vitro research has demonstrated significant bioavailability and efficacy at the stimulation of GAG’s production, with GAG levels a key objective measure of these peer reviewed and published papers.
Where are the raw materials for 4CYTE™ Equine sourced?
All of our marine derived raw materials are by-products sourced from non-endangered species, under strict quota basis and are by-products from harvested or certified aqua-farming operations. . More specifically the marine cartilage utilised in 4CYTE™ is from the fish backbone, which is a by-product of fish harvested for human consumption and come predominantly from Australian and New Zealand waters harvested under strict Governmental quota systems. The cartilage used is certified to not come from species listed in the Convention of International Trade in Endangered Species (CITES). We apply a very strict quality control process to our raw materials acquisition to ensure all ethical procedures and guidelines are applied and met. All product of premium “human grade” quality.
Is 4CYTE™ Equine palatable?
Interpath Pty Ltd has invested significantly into ensuring 4CYTE™ is as palatable as possible. Horses are by nature fussy eaters and we have undertaken palatability trials in New Zealand, Australia, North America and the Europe with an above 80% palatable response. However, we still encourage the slow introduction of 4CYTE™ Equine to a horses feed and for extremely fussy horses possibly blended with Molasses or something similar.
Bioavailability of 4CYTE Equine?
4CYTE Equine has undergone significant in-vivo and in-vitro research which has demonstrated that the active ingredients are effective following simulated digestion and ultrafiltration (“absorption”) and that the product does reach the joints following oral administration. In-vivo study 4CYTE Equine was subjected to a simulated digestion model and ultrafiltration process, thus mimicking the effects of natural digestion and absorption. Objective measures were then applied measuring levels of degradative enzymes, Glycosaminoglycan’s, Nitric Oxide and Chondrocyte numbers.
