I started off riding in all Pony Club events, campdrafting and bush gymkanas; anything that was on in Western NSW. Then I just chose straight showjumping events at local Ag Shows or Pony Club. I loved the sport and ended up going to Sydney regularly to compete from when I was 12. Now I’m 16 and have won the Australian Young Rider and NSW Young Rider Championship in both 2016 and 2017. Showjumping has given me the opportunity to travel to Korea, New Zealand and Hong Kong representing Australia, all fantastic experiences.

I have 2 competitive horses and 2 young ones to work on, so I’m pretty busy before school every morning. Fernhill Zinzan has been an amazing Junior and Young Rider horse for me. I got him when I was 13 and he was 6, then we just worked it out together. We have won so many Young Rider Championships, Sydney Royal Most Successful, loads of 6 bars and Speed Derby’s, some Mini Prix’s and we have had a heap of fun! Oaks Kosmo & I won the NSW Mini Prix Championship in 2017 and we have just stepped up to Grand Prix level, winning one in Tamworth in 2017. I look forward to jumping some bigger tracks with him in 2018. It is really satisfying to have taken both of these horses through from being fairly green horses to really competitive ones. I believe that the more I work with them and listen to them, the more they trust me and the harder they try. I have never had Kosmo jumping so well and consistently since he started on Epitalis Forte, I think he is feeling better than ever! I am also riding a 4 year old and 5 year old that I’ve been working on since they were just 1 and 2, which is really rewarding.

Outside of horses I love Cross Fit training and water-skiing with friends in the summer. Oh, and I have to go to school for another year and make a reasonable attempt at the HSC! After that I hope to work out how to ride full time, but I’ll have to move because it’s a bit lonely riding/training on our farm 50km from Condobolin in Western NSW!
