Arthritis in the small animal.  Is there more we can do?

A discussion of medical management of degenerative joint disease in dogs and cats. This lecture will progress through a review of the importance of degenerative joint disease in our patients, followed by a review of current methods of controlling pain associated with arthritis.

Key Note Speaker – Dr Fearnside is a registered specialist in small animal surgery and is currently a director of the Small Animal Specialist Hospital (SASH) in Sydney.  His particular interests and focus areas in the practice include: surgical diseases of the spine, complex wound management, advanced orthopaedics including total joint replacement and arthroscopy, orthopaedic and neurosurgical patient rehabilitation and management of musculoskeletal injuries in sporting and working dogs.
